Making a Splash 05/26/2010

More sales for Openers.  Love to have a review, though.  Have thoughts about the book?  Some praise?  Whisper it right here.  I won't tell a soul...except the people who read this.  I promise.

No Greater Love is coming out in a little over a week.  He's a writer, she's a political liaison.  He's Native American, she's Irish American.  He sees her as a little sister.  She sees him as the man of her dreams.  She's known him all her life.  He only thinks he knows her.  Secrets and sacrifice demand a great love.

The Boss went to dinner at the HPOE (California version) and caught a picture of them testing the new summer nights water show - World of Color - and brought me back a pretty cool picture.

Make someone happy.  Buy a book.

A Matter of Money 04/24/2010

Good morning.  It' a lovely, cool Saturday, and we opened the office late, but hit the carpet running.  We're on track to have Openers live by Cinco de Mayo, and we are setting up for our first official Inknbeans Press Promotion at the end of May.  Exciting times around here.

We've had a couple of nice notes from people telling us they like the place, are looking forward to Michael E Benson's book, Openers, and want to purchase from us, but they don't know how.

Go to our library to select a book.  Each book has a link to our fulfillment people; digital books are provided by Smashwords in a lot of different digital formats - including iPad, iPhone and Blackberry.  We decided to use them because they had access to all these formats and all their catalogs.  Click on the link, and it will take you directly to that book's estore, where you can select format, and payment method.

For print versions, the link will take you to our estore at Createspace.  Use the coupon we've provided to get fifteen percent off the list price.

So...go buy a book, find a tree, a delicious beverage of your choice, and enjoy.  I've got to get back to work.

Springery 04/19/2010

Spring is blooming around Inknbeans.  The Boss and Manservant!Geeves put out a new flower bed in the back garden.  Seven or eight different fragrance varieties.  I'm sure the rabbits in the canyon will find them delicious.

Spring's been pretty flowery in the office, too.  Some nice comments are coming in about A Plane Proposal - one reader referred to it as a 'journey' book, with many memorable scenes along the way, as opposed to a 'destination' book, where all that matters is the ending; Wife in the Mirror was called tightly woven romantic mystery filled with plenty of twists, turns, and adventure; and Learning to Be Irish was considered enjoyable by several readers.

No comments yet on the newest released, Calling All Hearts, but I'm certain that will change soon.

Of course the big news is that we're all hip deep in preparations to get Openers, by Michael E. Benson, on the shelf by May 1st.  It's exciting and scary.  Written by a former police investigator, it reads like a cross between a police report and diary.  The dialog is genuine, the voices are true, the terror is truly genuine.  If you like thrillers, put this one on your to be read pile.

Have a great Monday and don't forget to stop and smell the flowers.
